We learned the Rivers (East).  I shared a trick with them... find the state and you'll find the rivers.  I ask the kids to work on the map tracing at home and use the extra week to catch up with the unfinished work.  I also lessen their tracing to two instead of three.  I sure hope it is helping at home.  Keep encouraging them...

Presentation Part 1 was exciting.  We saw art works from a famous artist and heard music from two great composers. Thank you very much for preparing well for the presentation. Next week, we will hear from the rest of the class.  A quick reminder for presenters, you have a maximum of four minutes to introduce the artist/composer and present their work.

Our artwork is inspired by the pop artist Roy Lichtenstein.  I wrote their names for them and gave them suggestions on how to make their own pop art names for their own room. The kids did an exceptional job. See the photo below.  Next week's art, please bring pencil and coloring materials.

Science Experiment
We learned about different food items that contain starch. We even learned about a non food item that contain starch.  Keep experimenting at home.  Have fun.

Enjoy the extra week off.  See you next week.

Sincerely,
Zabrina
